An Antwerp city bond from 1558 sells for 36.000 EUR (incl auction commission) after a fierce bid fight between both local and international collectors. Never before has such an amount been paid for an antique stock or bond from Belgium. No wonder, as it is probably the world's oldest city bond that has ever been seen and certainly the oldest scripophily from Belgium.
Several other old stocks brought strong prices as well. More details here in the following days. The full result list is already published, seen menu on the left. Unsold items can be bought in our after-sale!
Our next auction, in May 2023, will be a festive jubilee event as our auction house exists 40 years next year. Be sure not to miss it!
