Action de Jouissance. brown. No 386543. Formed 1853 by fusion of the Cie de Paris à Strasbourg with the Cie des cdf de Montereau à Troyes. The former dated from 1845 to build and operate lines from Paris to Strasbourg, Mulhouse, Nancy, etc. In 1854 the Cie de l'Est absorbed the Cie de Strasbourg à Bâle and in 1863 the Ardennes network. In 1870 the company lost its Alsace and Lorraine routes, and did not get them back in 1918, when a new state body was created to control them.
