Solomon Blanckensee was born in 1801 in Poland (in Wielen, Czarnkow-trzcianka County). He moved to Bristol and opened a jewelleryin 1826. He proved to be very successful and relocated to Birmingham, further expanding his business. His 2 sons took over in 1864 and incorporated this company in 1887. Their jewellry is still much wanted today, fetching strong prices at auctions. This share was issued to Julius Denis Blanckensee and signed by 2 members of the family as directors.
