The zoo was created by the 1905 founded Verein Zoologischer Garten München e.V. and opened its doors in 1911. Due to the economic harsh times (hyperinflation), the zoo had to shut its doors between 1922 and 1928. The share we offer dates from its first year of re-opening. It became the first Geo-Zooin the world (meaning that animals were shown and kept with other animals of the same geographic regio). Today known as the Hellabrunn Zoo and located in the southern part of Munich. Extremely rare share.
