One of the best early cycling pieces, showing the start of a race in the vélodrome, a race through the streets and a couple cycling in the countryside. Arms of Bordeaux. The vélodrome was at Mondésir, in the Caudéran district, close to Bordeaux. The design shows clearly the bicycles, and cyclists' dress at the end of the last century. The vélodrome lasted only two years. Business was below expectations, and financial problems soon arose. After little more than one year, sporting activities came toan end, and finally the property was sold by the courts.
