BRUXELLES. Action de F500. green, black. #1000000. No 462465. In 1934, following the liquidity problems after the depression, the Société Générale took over 12 banks, all in different Belgian cities and provinces, and merged them, with all existing SG banking activities (other than the Banque d'Anvers), into a new Banque de la Société Générale de Belgique. The capital of the new bank was F500.000.000, in 1.000.000 shares of F500. 499.999 were sold to the public. 500.000 were issued to the 12 banks, in payment for their businesses and assets. The banks are listedon the reverse of the share. 1 share was issued to the Société Générale, in payment for its banking rights and business. Hence, we offer here a founder share of the Générale de Banque/Generale Bank.
