LIEGE. VERVIERS. Action de F250. red. #880. No 637. Classical border with vignettes. Company founded 1901 by Adophe Ruhl, previously a manufacturer of steam engines. Under the brandname "Ruhl", the company built 5 different car models between 1901 and 1907. At first a Voiturette 3 CV, in 1904 a four-cylinder model with 14 CV and a 24 CV with chain drive, also a large model 40 CV with a 9800 cc engine. The company was rather succesful, both in selling as in racing. We read the company also manufactured some motorcycles. The factory was located in Dison, close to Verviers. In financial difficulties by the end of 1908 due to the collapse of the local Modera Bank. Liquidated 1909. Signature of Adolphe Ruhl. Certainly one of the rarest of all (early) Belgian car companies.
