It sold, in excellent condition, for 5500 EUR in our Fall 2016 auction. The moderate start price today has of course all to do with the condition problems of this piece. We have seen a map of China, apparently showing the railway lines to be built by the company. They run from Hankow, which was perhaps to be the centre of the company's rail operations in China. They included Hankow to Nanking, to Foochow and Wenchow, to Chungking and to Si-Ngan - a very extensive network indeed. However, since the company was deleted from the London Register in 1902 (only 2 years after formation), we can assume that the company never operated in any way. We have no info on what the company's mining intentions were.
