Since the start of the Industrial Revolution and until well into the 1960s, coal mining has been an important part of the Belgian economy. Several Belgian businessmen even went abroad to set up mining companies in other countries, mainly European, but also beyond. This collection is focused on this story of Belgian capital invested in foreign coal mining fields. The collection counts 63 different shares and bonds which we first offer here as a single lot at a start price of 1600 EUR. If no buyer is found, the collection will be split up and put for sale in the lots 145-178 (sum of start prices: 2260 EUR).
