BRUXELLES. Obligation de F500, unissued. red, green. #100000. In the early 1860s the French Chemin de fer du Nord took over the operation and development of several lines in the Hainaut area of Belgium, linking cities such as Mons and Charleroi with the Nord network in France. The Nord raised funds to carry out works and purchase rolling-stock by issuing a series of its own obligations. In 1862 it was decided to replace the Nord obligations with those of a new company, established under Belgian law for the purpose. This is an unissued example of those bonds.Text in French and English.
