Lotnumber: 20
10 Actions de F125=£5. black. #42500. No 31201-10. Generally somewhat worn condition but no serious damage. Line from Manage to Wavre (41km). When the company was formed in 1847, this line was to be the basis for a network including Landen, Tirlemont, Hasselt, and Chimay and the French frontier. The large capital of £850,000 (or F21.250.000) was authorised for the purpose. However, the shares sold poorly, payments were slow to arrive, and there was little money to carry out the work. All that was built was the Manage to Wavre line. No dividends were ever paid. Coat of arms of the company, with arms of provinces served. Stamps on the face. Text in French and English (reflecting British capital). Much more rare than the 'five shares' type.
