BRUXELLES. Part Sociale, specimen. blue, yellow. #18000. Founded by the Luxembourg inventor Henri Owen Tudor (1859-1928). He developed the first practical lead-acid battery in 1886. His first factory was in Rosport, in eastern Luxembourg. He quickly expanded towards Belgium, France, Germany and the UK. At the time of his death (1928), 25,000 people worked in the manufacture of Tudor batteries. This Belgian company was founded 1908. Vignette of company logo and large underprint as well.
