TEXAS. LONDON/GALVESTON. 6% Bond of £100. black, blue seal. No 1114. Folds and brown spots. Formed 1853 to build a 50-mile line from Galveston to Houston TX. This was the first Texan railroad to try to raise money in Europe. The first attempt, in Paris, was a failure, but a second try, in London, was successful.
