Another typically fine Spanish mining share of the mid-19th century, when almost every piece was of very high quality. Most ornate design, of angels and flowers and fruit, and much more, including the Star of the North, after which the mine is named. The mine was at Canales de la Sierra, in Logrono province, in the Rioja district.
