The desperate economic crisis in the Soviet Union in the early 1920s forced the Lenin's Government to adopt a 'New Economic Plan', under which companies could be established, under part-state, part-private (even foreign) ownership. This was one of those companies. After Lenin's death, the new soviet leader, Stalin, reversed the policy, and all the new companies were taken over by the state-owned Gosbank. The reverse of the certificate states that the shares have been transferred to Gosbank. Picturesque and unusual tax-stamps on the reverse. Lot of3 identical shares.
