In 1932, and for the first time since the company foundation in 1860, new shares were issued. This on the occasion of the transformation of the firm into a joint-stock company. From now on, the company capital consists of 65.915 original (1860) shares of 500 francs, from now on called 'ordinary shares' and 559.751 newly-issued preference shares of 100 francs.
