The second page, listing a part of the company statutes, was separated from the certificate. This loan, consisting of 165 bonds, was issued to finance the construction of the steamship 'Noord-Holland' which was to link Amsterdam with Hull, UK. Yet, in 1857, the ship sailed to Genoa and Livorno and in 1858 to Stockholm and Copenhagen. The ship sunk in Dec. 1858 on its journey from Copenhagen to Amsterdam. None of the 15 men crew survived. Only this one piece is known to us.
