Bill of Exchange drawn in November 1797 by the Administrateur de Contributions et Finances d'Italie, Milan, on the Canons of St. Augustin at Piacenza, payable in Milan about four months later, in 1798, and accepted by the Canons. By November 1797 Bonaparte had very recently captured northwest Italy from the Austrians. Interesting and surely extremely rare financial document.
