black. We offer here two dividend coupons from the 18th century: a) Co. des Indes: 7ème dividendd'une portion d'intérêt (probably issued as part of the 1770 issue of new shares) ; b) Entreprise de la Tourbe, du Charbon& de la Cendr: dividend for the first 6months of 1788. One of the major shareholders of the latter company (of which we have never seen shares) was Talleyrand. This company was founded in 1784 and sold coal and peat to households in Paris through several shops in the city. A bit of history of the Co. des Indes can be read in the previous lot.
