These certificates, issued by the village of Perck, represent the part-payment for its investment in the tramway company 'Brussel-Haecht'. The financial construction was as such that Perck would pay for its shares through 6-month installments over a period of 90 years. Hence, each year the city council issued a number of these certificates - a sort of payment order. Interesting documents showing the way local communities were involved in financing small intercity railway lines.
