DELAWARE. Preferred Shares of $10. green, black. No 13. Displayed the "Pantheon de la Guerre", a circular panorama of 123m in circumference and 14m high. It has been described as the largest painting in the world. The paining, made in Paris during World War I, showed portraits of around 6000 wartime figures from France and its allies. The work was coordinated by French artists Pierre Carrier-Belleuse and Auguste François-Marie Gorguet. It was first on show in a building next to the Hôtel des Invalides. The painting was bought by US businessmen in 1927 andexported to New York where it was displayed at Madison Square Garden. Afterwards, the work went on a tour of the U.S. until 1940.
