PARIS. Part de Fondateur. brown, blue. #200. No 87. Folds. Underprint of a church, in Greek style. The company offered, at Montmartre, a diorama of the Jerusalem Pilgrimage. A diorama was a tableau, or a series of views, painted on an extremely large canvas, which is lit by constantly changing lights while the spectator sits in darkness. The difference from a panorama is that the diorama is flat, on one wall, but the panorama runs all round a circular building. Only 200 shares issued.
