PARIS. Bon de F100. black on blue paper. #7500. No 1788. Folds. Alternative name as indicated on the certificate is Panoramas Marigny. The building, situated near the junction of the Champs Elysées and the Avenue Marigny, was originally built for the display of a panorama, which opened in 1883. The panorama was converted to the Théâtre Marigny in 1894 and become a home to operetta and other musical theatre. The panorama on display was built by Charles Garnier. In 1885, it was replaced by dioramas on Paris through the ages and on Jerusalem on the day of the death of Christ. The theatre is still operating today, and is owned by François Pinault (Artemis Group).
