Built 1888, liquidated and dismantled 1957. Opened in 1893 the Liverpool Overhead Railway. Built to ease congestion in the docks area. It was the first electric overhead railway in the world. After serious damage in World War II the necessary works were beyond the resources of the company, and the railway closed in 1956. Almost no trace of it remains today. Heavy pen cancellation and punch-holes at the top.
