KÖLN. Aktieüber 100 RM. purple, brown, black. No 45649. Ford established itself in Germany in 1925, in Berlin, and opened an assembly plant for the Model T at Westhafen, Berlin. 1928 brought production of the Model A also. In 1930 a new factory in Köln was built and the Berlin plant closed the following year. By 1933 four models were in production - Model B, Rheinland, V8 and Köln. By 1936 this had become the V8 and the Eifel (ex-Model B), a V8 truck and a 4-cylinder BB Model. An assembly plant opened in Berlin-Johannisthal, to take the pressure off the Köln plant. Ford trucks were made during WW2, which must have caused some difficulties with the U.S. parent company. The share shows the familiar Ford logo.
