Company founded in 1855 with a capital of 3 million Fr to mine for coal in Hochwald, near Forbach (today a commune in the French Moselle department, bordering Germany). All in all, some 3.643.000 Fr. were invested in the venture, but due to problems with water in the mine, its success was limited. Became part of a consolidation of 8 mining claims in 1873 into the Gesellschaft Saar und Mosel. Not seen before by us and surely unique.
