Lotnumber: 367
BRUXELLES. 3,5% Obligation de F1000, printer proof. blue, green. Some edge-damage at the left border. Very large format. Text in Flemish and French. Very pretty 19th century Belgian government bond. Apart from one bond issued in 1832 (when Belgium was just independent), we've never seen any 19th century issued bonds from the Belgian government (a lot of 20th century bonds are known). This bond, although unissued, partly fills up this gap. Sold by the Rothschild brothers. Illustrated with the coat of arms of the nation as well as the 9 provinces. Unique piece from the archives of the Imprimerie Bourlard and unseen issued.
