SAINT-ROCH-AUVELAIS. Vingtième de Part Sociale, Coupure N. 8. pink, black. No 15842. Rather wrinkled cert. with repaired edge-tears and a few tiny holes at the bottom. Yet, this is a wonderful new discovery. The wide border shows the factory buildings, various of its (glass) products, little angels, etc. A first glass blowing company was founded in 1875 in Auvelais (today a district of Sambreville). It became this joint stock company in 1889. Renamed GlacesNationalesBelges Saint-Roch in 1929. Became part of the French multinational Saint-Gobain in the 1980s. The production of glass continued in Saint-Roch until 2014. Surely the prettiest of all Belgian glass shares and very likely unique.
