KIMBERLEY. Share of £50. black. #50. No 35. Tiny bit of lower left corner missing. The company capital of £2500 was divided in just 50 shares of £50 each. A much smaller number of shares issued than that of all other South African companies we have ever seen. Shares were locally printed and issued. Kimberley has always been the main production centre for diamonds in South Africa. Vast fortunes were made (and, doubtless, lost) here.
