Rasterjaew in 1858 and turned the firm into this limited company with a capital of 1 million roubles. Backed by the Jewish banker Wewelberg and the EdwardMorice Meyer & Co. banking firm. At first, products were iron wire, nails, various materials for railroad construction industry. Later followed more complex products such as heating boilers, pylons, joists for roof structures, etc. The company built the grid-glass roof of the famous GUM department store. Also iron-bridges were manufactured and placed on various Russian rivers. Also armaments, guns, turrets for warships and tanks were made by the company. Under Soviet times, and still today, a majormanufacturer of amongst others turbines. This is a share from the 5th issue, bringing the company capital to 9 million roubles.
