While first working in Boom, his two sons moved the brewery to Mechelen and grew to became one of Belgian's leading breweries. In the 1980's Lamot was bought by InBev (previously known as Interbrew). We do not know why the company was legally speaking an English firm and thus with its capital expressed in pounds. The 1971 share is issued to the Anglo Continental Breweries NV.
