PARIS. Action de F100. green, yellow, red. # 2000. No 935. Formed in Paris, 1909, to cultivate Esparto grass in Tunisia, as a raw material for the paper-making industry. The grass was widely cultivated at the time in the North African countries, as it is an indigenous plant which grows very well there. A very decorative piece, with Tunisian scenes, including a caravan of camels carrying bales of the grass. Islamic border, with arms of Tunisia.
