TRANSVAAL. LONDON/JOHANNESBURG. Warrant for 5 shares of £1. brown, green, black. No 10468. Heavy central fold, some small edge-splits. Formed 1888 in the Transvaal, to acquire part of farm Langlaagte, and the adjoining farm, Middelfontein, a total of 4047 acres, close to Johannesburg. Had a complicated history, with areas being spun off to new companies, and others acquired. A consistent producer, crushing around a million tons of ore annually, and paying regular dividends, from 5 to 50%, for many years. Liquidated 1945.
