The company owned 39 horses worth F1000 each, to pull 22 trams. The service started in January 1897, but was a financial disaster, and closed in April that year. The company was liquidated by Royal Order on 2 April 1898. The company's assets were sold by auction at its depot at Borgerhout. Two heavy folds.
