BRUXELLES. Action Privilégiée de F500. brown, buff. #2000. No 609. Large format piece of extremely decorative design, with a great border of vines, and portraits of Rembrandt and Rubens, who, as Dutch and Belgian painters of world renewal, need no further introduction from us. The company founder, Mr Henri Bogaerts, brought to the new company his Belgian and French rights for the reproduction of paintings by a new polychrome process, printing directly on to canvas. He also brought the proprietorship of several arts magazines - l'Illustration Européenne, le Foyer National, and le Musée du Jeune Age, and other rights for printing in oil-colours on cloth. Formed in Brussels, but expected to open branches in Paris and Vucht (Holland). A superb and scarce share.
