1. MAMMOTH GOLD MINE, Shares of 5 Shillings, black on yellow paper, 1935. 2. NORTHERN TERRITORY LAND CO. LTD, Shares of £1, black on pink paper, 1955. The first mine was located 15 km east of Tennant Creek. The company erected a 10 head battery, with a rich first crushing. However they were unable to find the continuation of the shoot, and the following year, the mine closed. The second company was founded as early as 1882 and acquired land at Byno Harbour and the land immediately behind this area during the expansion of the Northern Territory by South Australia in the 1880s. The land was never farmed or grazed and a large area was sold in 1963 and the remaining areas of land were disposed of in 1973. The company was deregistered in 1988.
