59 NORD. LILLE. Action. black. No 168. The company, with capital in 200 shares only, was formed 1791 to prospect and exploit coal concessions in the area behind Dieppe. The principal founder was Guillaume Castiau, a mineralogist living in today's Seine Maritime, near the exploration area andowner of the concessions. The share is issued to him, and he has signed it. The company was formed in Lille, mainly a textile town but close to the rich coalfields of the Nord, and probably the source of the capital in the company. Water-stained down right side. Only two pieces were found, one of which is in a major French collection.
