BRUXELLES. Action de F500. purple, buff, black. #14000. No 7028. Founded by the Luxembourg inventor Henri Owen Tudor (1859-1928). He developed the first practical lead-acid battery in 1886. His first factory was in Rosport, in eastern Luxembourg. He quickly expanded into Belgium, France, Germany and the UK. At the time of his death (1928), 25,000 people worked in the manufacture of Tudor batteries. This Belgian company was founded 1908. Vignette of company logo, a battery and large underprint as well. All this with a very bright Jugendstil border. First time in our auctions.
