Formed in 1922 by the Ford Motor Co.Ltd (of England) to exploit the Ford marque in Belgium, its colonies, Luxembourg and Switzerland. 31% of the shares were owned by the English Ford company. The rights covered Ford and Lincoln cars, and Fords on tractors. The assembly plant was opened in Hoboken, near Antwerp. In 1931 a new factory was built at Antwerp, Bassin-Canal. Ford shifted its production to Genk in the 1960s. Closed in 2014.
