Lotnumber: 88
LONDON. 5% Gold Bond for M409=£20. Cat. KUL 307. brown, red, black. No 756491. Central fold. Sold by the Russo-Asiatic Bank, but note that is a bond from the Belgian issue. Originally, this loan was shared by Britain, France, Germany, the USA, Russia and Japan. However, Belgium later joined in. Only the bonds with numbers 725.557-795.000 were of the Belgian issue. They can be distinguished from the Russian issue because of a different stamp in the upper left (a round stamp with the Belgian lion versus a square Russian stamp). Hence, according to Kuhlmann, this is the 307 variety.
