WARSAW. Akcya posytkowa. blue, black. No 12331. Generally worn condition with folds, edge-tears (repaired), a few remains of paper glued on the top border. With talon attached, but no coupons. Text in Polish and Russian on the face, German and French on the reverse. The company was founded 1865 by the German industrialist Karol Scheibler, founder of a textile empire in Lodz (centre of the Polish textile industry). Built a line Lodz-Koluszki, which opened in 1865, giving a link to the Warsaw-Vienna line. The company was one of the most profitablerailway enterprises in Poland. We know of only 3 pieces, 2 of which we offer in this and the next lot. The other piece was sold in 2014. Rarity 10.
