COVENTRY. Preference Shares of £1. blue. No 1030. Folds and a few pin-holes. Formed London, 1897, to manufacture bicycles at Coventry and Beeston (Nottinghamshire). Disappeared by 1902. The company made motorised tricycles using De Dion principles as well as cycles. One of these Beeston machines was then used in the very first London to Brighton run - the only British entry. A parallel Beeston company also made a few light cars at Coventry - this also failed around 1900.
