Certificate of £5. black on vellum. No 78. Folds and some faint discolouration. Wisbech is a town in the Fens of Cambridgeshire. The cemetery opened in 1836, primarily for non-conformists. The area of land, around 3 acres, was laid out as a formal garden following the style of the new cemeteriesin London, Paris, etc. In total 6,571 people were buried in the cemetery. The cemetery, disusedsince 1872, is currently managed as a 'pocket park' - a small nature reserve. First time in our auctions.
