Founded 1889 as the successor company of the brewery H. Weltz (est. 1841) in Speyer (Bayern), a town in Rhineland-Palatinate 25 km southof Ludwigshafen and Mannheim and one of Germany's oldest cities. In 1908, the brewery took over the Speyerer Brauhaus vorm. Gebr. Schultz AG in Speyer. A further acquisition followed in 1921 when the Löwenbrauerei AG vrom. J. Busch in Annweiler was bought. The next year however, the company was taken over itself by the Brauerei Schwartz-Storchen AG, Speyer. A year ago, we could offer a first such piece, previously unknown. The consigner has now given us his second and in his words last piece. Rarity 11.
