Arbed was formed in 1882, under the name Hauts-Fourneaux et Forges de Dudelange, and in 1911 took this name, after fusion with S.A. des Mines du Luxembourg et Forges de Sarrebruck, and the Soc. des Forges d'Eich. After fusion, the capital was reorganised into 89.300 parts sociales. Very few of these first-issue shares have survived so this piece is rareand of historical importance.
