PARIS. Preference Shares of £1=F25. brown, blue. No 835. Central fold and a little staining at the borders. Formed London, 1897 and in voluntary liquidation the following year. The certificate, in English and French, has a design with various horse scenes (chariot, elegant rider, mediaeval knight on horseback) indicating the building was to offer shows with a horse orientation. In 1897 it offered a show of 'The Arabs of the Sahara Desert', on horses, of course. Located in downtown Paris, at the corner of the Boulevard Clichy, the Rue Caulincourt and the Rue Forest (18th arrondissement). The company assets were taken over by the S.A. l'Hippodrome. Some years later, the building was transformed in a major cinema complex: the Gaumont Palace. Only piece known to us. Rarity 12.
