PARIS. Action de F500. black. #40000. No 26807. Heavy folds and some edge-tears. Company formed 1879 to build wooden railway wagons at a factory beside the Seine at St.Ouen, north-west of Paris. The company also leased wagons to various railway companies; these wagons were stored on 10Km of tracks, beside the works. In 1885 half the company's land was sold to a company manufacturing trams and cars, and in 1898 the CdF du Nord obliged the company to give up the land where the wagons were stored, and it may be that the Nord took over the company, also. The border design shows some of the main Paris stations - Gares du Nord, de l'Est, De l'Ouest, de Lyon, and d'Orléans, as well the offices of the State Railways - we suppose these were the companies who were clients of the company. Also trains crossing over and under bridges. A very decorative piece and only once before seen by us.
