LUXEMBOURG. NEUFCHATEAU. Titre Nominatif de 10 Parts de F500. black. No 18. Unusual format, a booklet with on the inside the company statutes/rules. The front shows a drawing of Paul Collet of what we believe to be a castle ruin on a hill. Collet (1889-1952) was an artist (leaving us some 2000 drawings and similar), professor of art history at the university of Leuven, Doctor in Law and an important political figure, especially in the Walloon movement. This cooperative quarry in Longlier, southern Belgium, was succeeded in 1925 by a joint-stock company named Ardoisières Sainte-Marie S.A., founded by Count Arthur de Meeûs. Not seen before by us.
